The BIG Pink Fig GIVEAWAY and the Festival of Quilts!

What in the WORLD am I talking about?

Read on...

This is big for me! For as long as I can remember I have dreamed of traveling to Europe and I finally have a chance. My name "Chelsea" came from when my dad use to live in Chelsea England when he was teenager. He always talked to me about it when I was growing up and how much he loved it there. We use to watch Wimbledon as a family and I longed to go and watch the Pro tennis players smash the ball and mess up those pretty grass courts! What I wouldn't give to meet Rafa Nadal. Oh, and the strawberries and cream! They must be divine when you eat them in England! As a little girl I loved watching Princess Diana on TV and was mesmerized by her and her surroundings. Now that I have grown up I still feel the same, but it's directed toward Harry Potter! And Paris! Who doesn't want to go there? I'm mostly excited to eat the amazing food that I have heard so much about, but I'm sure my visit to Versailles will be the highlight. I can already tell I won't have nearly enough time in France, so I guess I'll just have to go back next year. I have butterflies just talking about it! I hear the Festival of Quilts is quite a show and it is expected to draw in around 35,000 people from all over Europe! My friend Amy Butler is going too, so I'll share a little bit about her and snap some photos. You can never get enough of her.

We will start our trip on the 14th in Paris, then we'll head to London, and finish up at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham. I don't want to go into to much detail so you'll have something to look forward to, but for the duration of my Holiday/Work week I will be posting updates of all that I do! Starting on August 14th you can follow me on my journey, see the sights, see the food, and see a little bit of me and my mom traveling around France and England. I would love to hear your comments on what we are doing and what you think of the trip!

For each and every comment you post on any of the posts between August 14th and August 22nd, you will be entered in a drawing. A fabulous, incredible, out of this world drawing! The Winner will receive a gift box filled with goodies from my trip, a yard of each design of my new fabric collection Miss Modd (available in October), and one of each of my 2010 patterns! That's about 18 yards of fabric and 7-8 patterns. Holy Moly!

There will be 3 runner up prizes which will include one of each of my NEW fall patterns and some sample fabrics. Not too shabby! You don't have to be a follower for this contest, but it sure is a lot easier to stay up date if you do follow me. You can start by clicking on the link on the right side bar.

I have one more offer, but this one will cost you.

I have an amazing brother, who owns and amazing tour business, and he and I have been putting our heads together for an amazing trip that YOU can come on! Mark you calenders for August of next year because I'll be doing this trip again and I would love for you to join me!

Here are the details:

We will be gone around 10 days visiting all of the sights of London England and the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham. There will also be a Paris extension for those of you who just can't stand be that close without taking a peek. I will be your tour guide and I promise you, we will have the time of our lives! The price and details on how to sign up will soon be announced so keep checking back and watch for the logo above to show up on my side bar. When it's up, you will be able to click on it to view the details of the tour.

Please come!

Don't forget to check in on Saturday for the start of The BIG Pink Fig GIVEAWAY and postcards from my trip.

xoxo,
Chelsea

You will love Versailles, it's one of my absolute favorite places on Earth. If you get a free day while in France, take a train out to Fontainebleau, it is an unforgettable place. I can't wait to see the designs this trip inspires in you.

Bon Voyage!

Have fun! BTW, I just made the Mish Mash skirt yesterday for my 4 year old. She won't wear the A line dresses anymore - she says they are for babies. She loves her new skirt! Next up is the Nie Nie!! I'll send photos in a few weeks.
