Those are some pretty sweet shoes Anna!
Fall Market isn't very far away and I've got some things to do!
How about that Joel? He is the King of QM! (He's signing his book for me!)
First things first...Lila brought her laptop and wacom tablet and she and Lucy showed me some cool tricks and tips. Had I known these things before I designed my first line of fabric I might have less gray hairs right now. Still, better late than never, so I'm really cleaning up the whole thing. It's all pretty much the same, just prettier!
Amy, Amy, Amy is so uber talented!!! I never cease to be amazed by her.
Next, I have decided to move out of my comfort zone a little and explore the world. I leave for the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham England in August where I will be having a booth. Has anyone in Europe ever heard of Pink Fig? Probably not, but hopefully after the festival they will. I'm in the process of making new pattern covers for the Girly Skirt and Stripwork skirt, making posters, and flyers, and trying to save enough money to afford this trip! It is constantly on my mind.
Sandi! How do you do it? You wrote a book! A book! It's awesome.
What's next, let's see....Oh yes! I'm moving in about 3 weeks. Just down the street to a nicer and slightly larger house. Why is moving so hard and so messy?
Patty, Miss Patty...do you ever sleep? You are amazing! I love the new panels with the dolls! So clever!
What else, what else...I'm finishing up my Embellished for the Holiday's book, revamping Embellished the book to make it into a more affordable pattern, working on a pattern for Westminster Fibers and Sizzix (more to come on that later), trying to decide what the heck to do for my new Fall patterns, sewing up some Nie Nie skirts for friends that was promised to them months ago, getting ready to train my mom and aunts on how to put together sewing pattern kits, working on some ideas to offer ready made pink fig designs in my NEW shop (for all of you non-sewers), and I have to come up with something cool for school house because the one I did last week was kind of lame. I get so freaked out in front of people that I turn into a babbling mess of words and I make no sense. If you were there, you know what I'm talking about, but don't write me off just yet. The next one will be better...I promise.
Tina...I have never so laughed so hard as I did in the 30 minutes we spent at your booth! Your creativity level is about a million times higher than mine.
I'll try to keep blogging during this crazy summer I have ahead of me. I have plans for a free tutorial on something ( I don't know what yet), some yummy summer recipes, and more sneak peeks of my fabric line. Stay tuned!
Valori Wells is a breath of fresh air. She printed her new line on some sort of super soft cotton that I have never felt before. It is amazing to touch!
Pillow and Maxfields scrumptiuos new line of fabric.
Laura Gunn...pretty much one of my most favorite people in this planet. (her poppies fabric is on the tea party skirt cover)
Heather always looks like a movie star and that girl has a heart of solid gold! I can't wait to make her Piggy Pattern for my girls.
Beautiful Lila - hop on over to her blog for some news. Juicy, juicy news.
I LOVE Lucy and Anna :) Lucy has a new line of fabric with Studio E! She is totally kicking booty right now.
Favorite Things Patterns are my Favorite!
My Angel friend Kay Whitt wrote a book. She is so fabulous!
Amy Buter holding my patterns with her LOVE fabric on the covers, hee hee!
Izzy and Ivy never cease to impress. They have a new ruffle purse pattern out that I PROMISED myself I am going to make.
Amy Hamblin (Katie Cupcake) has a new line of fabric out that is so pretty!
One of my most favorite booths to hang out at, I didn't even get a picture of it! What is wrong with me?
Amanda Herring from Quilted Fish is always a blast to talk to and her booth designs rock. You'll have to go over to her blog to see pictures of her booth and new fabric line.
Sandi Looking Very Pretty:
Last but not least, Patty in her sweet new Knits
That's it for now!
