It's finished...
Whew! That took FOREVER. I'm so glad it's done and the girls love it!
Thank goodness.
So here is the lame-O before bedroom, just a shot of the bed:
I was using a quilt (that is still one of my favorites) from Pottery Barn and my girls favorite snowman sheets from Target. Kind of cute, but not really.
Here are all the after pics:
The frame collage above the bed was what I used at Quilt Market in Houston. I'm so glad I could find another use for all of those fabulous frames! I opted to not use the sham that I made last week and went for a stripwork body pillow instead. Then I added some ruffles to the polka dot pillow cases and voila, it's done! The little bit of the Quilt you see there is this one. And the bed frame was only $100 from IKEA.
The shabby white candlesticks are from a local consignment store that I visit at least once a week and the candles are from Target. They smell very tropical and make me want to quit working and head for the beach!
Those baby pictures below still melt my heart.
The two awesome flower paintings on the wall are done my aunt Lila. The green distressed candle stick came in a bunch from a shabby chic Etsy store I like to keep tabs on. She buys old stuff and upcycles it. So cool!
Oh...and I love this lamp! I got it about 6 quilt markets ago from IKEA.
Lot's of a pillows on a bed somehow make it look very inviting.
You can't see it, but there are 4 rows of pillows there!
Last but not least, my favorite picture of all time, from Quilt Market of course. I got this frame at IKEA and painted it brown. I have seen it painted in just about every color, but I am finding that I am kind of partial to it in teal. Hmm, maybe I'll have to get another one.
The pictures on the wall behind the bed were taken by my friend Britt of Snap Pea Photography last Valentines Day! I have been wanting to do something with them, but didn't know what until I started putting the frame collage up. I was going to do a bunch of baby pictures, but during my search I came across these and knew they had to be used in the design. She is amazing.
SO that's all for now! I hope you enjoyed all the tutorials (right side bar) and my fabric collection Miss Modd. I have a new line that has been submitted and will be shown on paper in Salt Lake this May. It's called I love Paris and was inspired by my trip to Paris over the summer. It's very different from Miss Modd. More...sweet, for lack of a better word. I think you're going to really like it. I will show a little preview soon.
Bye!
