On the 7th day of Christmas...

I made a Little Christmas Tree....

Out of scraps of fabric, some felt, and styrofoam!

Isn't it cute? I saw this in a magazine a few weeks ago when I was waiting for the oil to get changed in my car. I can't remember the name of the magazine, but I quickly read over the instructions and then came home and made one! It's really easy and think of the possibilities with you fabric combinations! I was going to make a pink one too, but then I ran out of time. You can also stick little ornaments in there if you have any to spice it up.

Click HERE to get the free download.

I don't think I'll get my 5 other projects up before Christmas, but I will work on them and try to have them up shorty after. I'm working on number 8 right now, but there is still so much baking to do and a messy house to clean. Not to mention my last minute Christmas shopping.

If I don't check in before Saturday...Merry Christmas!

On the 6th day of Christmas...

I made StripWork Curtains!

Oh my! These are so easy and soooo CUTE! I designed them based on the curtains I did for my booth at the last Quilt Market. They are just strips of fabric cut with the edges left raw! I purchased a sheer curtain from Target for $5 and use it as a background piece to attach the strips to and included some beautiful lace and crocheted trims to give that that vintage feel that I love so much. I especially love that I was able to combine my favorite design from my own fabric line with some of my other ALL time favorite fabrics from Amy Butler, Heather Bailey, and Lila Tueller (my auntie). All of them have been sitting on my shelf begging me to cut them up and use them, but I had to wait for the right project to come along.

When I decided to design a real sewing room for myself, I knew I wanted to use these. Lila is painting a picture for me to go over the fire place with all the same colors. I'll do a little spotlight on my new sewing space when it's all done, but I still have a lot of work to do!

On the 5th day of Christmas...

Need a last minute project or a little something to add to your favorite seamstress's Christmas present? Then this is it!. This can be made in less than 30 minutes and any sewer would love to get one.

I'll have a really cute curtain tutorial up next and then I'm doing a girls bedroom!

On the 4th day of Christmas...

I made my Favorite Little Bag...

This is FREE pattern number 4 from my 12 days, 12 tutorials (and patterns) blog posts. It is the cutest little purse that can be used for just about anything. I actually made it for my daughter who just turned 8 and was baptized into our church. She got her own set of scriptures and needed a good bag to carry them in. I made it a little bigger than her scriptures so she could also fit her paper and pens (she loves to draw) or anything else she might want to bring along.

It's the perfect size and deep! It could also be used for....
bringing your own treats to the movies,
overnight bag for PJ's and toothbrush,
mini diaper bag,
it's a great size to hold your knitting supplies,
or needle point, scrapbook stuff, jewelry making supplies,
I could go on and on!

On the 3rd day of Christmas...

I made a throw pillow...

I finished sewing it just a few minutes ago and I got the pictures taken, but I still need to write the pattern. Hopefully it won' t take too long!

This simple patchwork pillow is really, really easy and is the perfect project for beginner sewers. You can make this in just a couple of hours with a few scraps of fabric, a small piece of felt, and some spare buttons!

HERE it is!

Henry Glass Project Parade Day 6

I forgot to mention one of our family holiday traditions yesterday during my day of the project parade. Everyone looks forward to the night we bust out the Christmas music and make a Ginger Bread house. But I must confess that I had nothing to do with this Masterpiece. It was all my husband and the kids! In fact, I never do it. Hartman is the one with the steady hands! He could have been a surgeon, but I think I'm liking his choice to be a Chiropractor. He did a cranial sacrum head, brain, neck adjustment on me the other night and it was pretty amazing. I felt like I had just spent the day a the spa! 6 more months and he's the real deal.

I seriously cannot wait because the starving students with 4 kids bit is starting to get old.

Anyways....in case you were wondering, this little Ginger Bread House Kit came from Costco. They added a snowman this year that is so cute! If you don't already have one, you better go get it. If you didn't get a chance to check out my post yesterday, scroll down because there is a really cute FREE apron pattern and a Giveaway!

For the HG Project Parade day 6 we are featuring:

Check them out for some good Holiday Fun!
